PL: Marcel Gawinecki (m. in. Ugory, Złota Jesień), Bartosz Leśniewski (m.in. Artykuły Rolne, Obiekty) i Artur Sofiński (DRAH) wracają niemal równo rok po ukazaniu się znakomicie przyjętego debiutanckiego albumu Próchna. Tamten materiał powstawał przez kilka miesięcy przez łączenie ze sobą kolejnych warstw muzyki, które aby stać się jednym organizmem musiały zostać przeżute przez studyjną realizację. "Niż" to sytuacja odwrotna i Próchno w wersji totalnie bezpośredniej. Muzykę zarejestrowano podczas pierwszego spotkania grupy, a całość była gotowa już kilka tygodni później. Stało się jasne, że to co udało się osiągnąć na odległość nie było dziełem przypadku.

Gawinecki, Leśniewski i Sofiński wywodzą się z dość różnych światów, ich inspiracje nie zawsze spotykają się w jednym punkcie. Razem jednak potrafią stworzyć brzmieniowy monolit, w którym styl i pomysły każdego z nich przeżerają się w pełnoprawnych proporcjach. Zacierając granice między instrumentami i podziałem na role, Próchno na swoim nowym materiale udowadnia, że niezależnie od tego jak radykalne środki wyrazu stosuje, to ponad wszystko jest żywym, ewoluującym zespołem.

ENG: Marcel Gawinecki (e.g. Ugory, Złota Jesień), Bartosz Leśniewski (e.g. Artykuły Rolne, Obiekty) and Artur Sofiński (DRAH) return almost exactly a year after the release of the brilliantly received Próchno debut album. Their first album had been created for several months by combining particular elements of music successively and had to be chewed while processing in a studio to become the monolith organism. "Niż" is a completely different story with Próchno in a totally interactive version. The music was recorded at the first live meeting of the band members, and the whole product was ready a few weeks later. It became clear – what was achieved at a distance was not accidental.

Gawinecki, Leśniewski and Sofiński come from completely different music backgrounds and their inspirations do not always meet at one point. Together, however, they can create a monolithic sound, in which the ideas and styles typical of each of the member interpenetrate in equal proportions. By blurring the lines between instruments and their division into roles Próchno with their new material prove to be an evolving band regardless of how radical means of expression they use.
